“I grew up here and am grateful for the opportunities the greater Nashua Region has provided to my business. It’s the perfect environment for a business to make meaningful connections, grow and prosper.

When I bought this company 13 years ago, I knew I wanted to stay true to my roots. Growing up in Nashua, I saw firsthand the richness of opportunity for families and businesses. The region provides varied housing options, talented employees, knowledgeable professionals, networking opportunities, and access to capital. It’s the perfect environment for a business to make meaningful connections, grow and prosper.”

"Babel’s Maple Syrup was born out of a lifelong love for maple syrup. Now I make my own and make 100 gallons a year.

My uncle used to make his own maple syrup, and I had many childhood memories of warm pancakes and homemade maple syrup. So in 2006, I decided to continue the family tradition by tapping the maple trees in my yard in Mason. The first year I made four gallons of maple syrup using a small camping stove and a propane turkey fryer on the tailgate of my pickup truck. We now have a sugarhouse and make 100 gallons a year."

"Our commercial space is perfectly in the middle of it all—we’re close to Nashua and Windham and we’re right off the highway.

My husband started DesignWorks back in 2006. Back then it was just a design company. He grew quickly and in 2009 we pivoted to a design and build company. Jim grew up here in New Hampshire so settling here made sense for us. During the pandemic it was hard to attract new workers so we came up with an innovative program that invited people to come work a day for $25/hour. It was very successful and we have a number of long-term employees from that program."

“We strive to anticipate what our guests need today and tomorrow.  We want to be that friendly neighborhood market and that easy roadside stop for a traveler. Life is pretty crazy, let’s make it easier and tastier along the way.

At Alltown Fresh, we believe people shouldn't have to sacrifice healthy, fresh food for convenience. We offer local communities everything from kombucha on tap, to fresh blended smoothies; mouthwatering breakfast sandwiches to made-to-order salads and bowls.  We are based in Massachusetts and our mission has always been to expand throughout the northeast. We currently have locations in four states (MA, NH, CT and NY) including two in Nashua, and are grateful to have been welcomed within these communities. We strive to make a difference and impact by creating services and amenities that people rely upon daily. Everything from custom bean-to-cup coffee, to a chef-curated menu and a locally-sourced marketplace – there is really something for everyone."

“Cooking is my passion and l have a great respect for the food as l focus on food safety, food quality, consistency and food presentation. The passion comes from my heart. I understand the impact and importance of food in human life.“

After moving to Nashua in 2000 and staying until 2007, I left for 12 years to pursue my career around the United States. I decided to come back to this great city to open the first Caribbean restaurant in the country on Main Street in Nashua. Caribbean Breeze serves authentic Caribbean cuisine from 5 different countries: Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica and Puerto Rico. Now people don’t have to travel far to taste and experience the flair of the islands."
