Community Profile:
Milford New Hampshire, located west of Nashua on the Souhegan River, was named after the River's shallow Mill Ford, which attracted numerous mills in the eighteenth century.  Incorporated in 1794, Milford was made famous by its prosperous granite industry, earning it the title of “The Granite Town in the Granite State.”  Today, Milford is home to manufacturing, information, and service oriented businesses, as well as a thriving tourism industry focused around its antique shops and country craft stores.

iTRaC Project Overview:
The Community Development chapter of the Milford Master Plan identifies the need to create unique regulations and design standards that will guide development along major traffic corridors to ensure that the town maintains its community character and sense of place. The Milford iTRaC project will begin to address these concerns by focusing on an overlay district along NH 101A between Ponemah Hill Road and Granite Town Plaza.

The Milford iTRaC project aims to achieve the following goals:
1. Preserving small-town character while fostering mixed-use development
2. Updating design standards and site plan regulations
3. Implementing the Master Plan
