The Nashua Region has seen rapid growth over the past 40 years. Between 1990 and 2000 alone the region added roughly 2,400 new residents annually. Every community in the region has seen impacts to its natural resources, open space, and public services as a result of this growth. At the same time, growth and development can be beneficial to communities, making them vibrant, sustainable, livable places to reside and work. NRPC helps individual communities and the region as a whole to balance the benefits and challenges of growth through a number of innovative land use and regional planning programs.

Services

iTRaC
By integrating transportation, land use, and environmental planning, iTRaC helps communities to deal with the challenges of growth in a manner that sustains community character and fosters a sense of place. iTRaC is a comprehensive program with services that support the diverse planning needs of our local communities. iTRaC services include community-specific special projects, fact sheets, guidebooks, trainings, and a lending library. Best of all, iTRaC services are available free of charge.

In addition to the free services available through the iTRaC program, NRPC can also provide additional services to communities on a contractual basis. These include, but are not limited to circuit riding, facilitation, individualized training, ordinance development, and master planning.
