Brookline New Hampshire,is located in the western portion of the Nashua Region and is bordered by Milford to the north and Hollis to the east. In 1769 Governor John Wentworth incorporated the town as Raby in honor of his cousin, Baron of Raby Castle, England. Then in 1798 the town was reincorporated as Brookline by the NH legislature at the request of a prominent citizen and landowner from Brookline, MA. Brookline is home to Potanipo Pond and the Nissitissit River, which begins at the pond and flows south into Pepperell, MA, where it meets up with the Nashua River. Olde Home Days is celebrated each summer, which brings a week’s worth of festivities ranging from outdoor movies and local bands to ball games and craft fairs. |

iTRaC Project Overview:
Brookline is in the process of updating the Visioning Chapter of its Master Plan. This iTRaC project will create a vision for the NH 13 corridor, which extends through the town from the MA border to Milford. Connections to the town center from NH 13 via Bond Street and Meetinghouse Hill Road as well as the town center itself will also be addressed. Brookline currently has three areas of commercially zoned parcels along the corridor. As southern NH continues to grow, additional commercial development could occur along this corridor. This is an ideal time for the town to develop a vision for the corridor that addresses future development and can be incorporated into the Master Plan.
The Brookline iTRaC project aims to achieve the following goals:
1. Utilize a widespread outreach effort to obtain input from residents and businessowners throughout town.
2. Conduct a visioning process to determine what town residents and business owners would like to see in the future along NH 13 and its connections to the town center.
3. Obtain input from residents on what uses they would like to see permitted in the town center.
