Aesthetics & Character
Albuquerque Ave in Litchfield is really two great streets in one—a well used transportation route for motorized vehicles and a beloved path for bikes and pedestrians. A bike path runs for over six miles along Albuquerque Ave, providing a safe recreation area for walkers, runners, rollerbladers, and bicyclists as well as easy access to surrounding ball fields, playgrounds, and other municipal facilities. The bike path also provides Litchfield residents with an opportunity to see one another. In fact, several user groups have formed, meeting on a regular basis at the path. Surrounded by green space and abundant wildlife, Albuquerque Ave blends well with the natural environment. Driveway cuts are also prohibited along the avenue, enhancing its aesthetic appeal.
