In 2007, NRPC celebrated National Community Planning Month with the debut of its Great Streets Program. It soon became clear that the Nashua Region's community assests extend beyond its streets, so this year we've broaded our scope to celebrate the region's Great Places. Great Places are those spaces within the public realm that foster social interaction and create a sense of community. Great Places utilize interesting features & design elements, support a variety of activities, and have unique characteristics & traits.

The Nashua Region's Great Places are as unique as the communities they reside in. Great Places can range from town commons, parks, and conservation areas, to farmers' markets, public buildings, and historic sites.

NRPC will select one Great Place from each community in the region, so nominate your favorite place today using the form below. Nominations are due by Sept. 8, 2008.

National Community Planning Month is sponsored by the American Planning Association. This month long celebration each October is designed to raise awareness of planning achievements across the country and to recognize the many local projects that make our communities wonderful places to live.
