Energy & Environmental Planning Services

Quality of life and a clean and healthy environment go hand-in-hand.  NRPC's energy, water, household hazardous waste, and hazard mitigation planning programs reflect our commitment to our region's environment for today's citizens and future generations.

Energy Aggregation

NRPC is a registered aggregator with the NH Public Utilities Commission and offers energy aggregation services to municipalities and school districts.  NRPC Energy Aggregation members enjoy significant savings on their electric utility bills.  More

Hazard Mitigation Planning

Planning for natural disasters such as widespread flooding and hurricane damage can reduce loss of life, injuries, and property damage.  Hazard Mitigation Plans identify critical facilities and areas of concern throughout a municipality, analyze potential natural hazards and risks to these facilities, and prioritize mitigation measures to address the hazards.  Municipalities must update their Hazard Mitigation Plans every five years in order to maintain eligibility for federal mitigation grants. Household Hazardous Waste Collection

Household hazardous wastes (HHW) come from everyday products used in the home, yard, or garden. By definition, they are corrosive, flammable, toxic, or reactive.  Oil-based paints, solvents, auto products, antifreeze, pesticides, mixed gas, and household cleaners are just a few examples.  NRPC holds collection events to allow residents to properly dispose of these products. MS4 Stormwater General Permit Consulting

NRPC can assist communities with obtaining and complying with an MS4 General Permit, such as best management practices for stormwater management, mapping, and education to support the program’s regulatory requirements.
