The mission of Commute Green NH is to promote initiatives, projects, and strategies that result in the reduction of single occupancy vehicle miles and trips in order to decrease dependence on fossil fuels, improve health, and reduce environmental impacts.

Join the Statewide Challenge!

Commute Green NH has set a goal of reducing 4,000 trips driven in single occupancy vehicles by the end of the year.  Visit www.commutegreennh.org to join the challenge!

How do I participate?
Simply log your green commute trips at www.commutegreennh.org starting on May 14. The website provides a running total of all the trips and miles that have been logged, so you can see how your efforts have contributed to reaching the state-wide goal.

Can I log miles at any time towards the State-wide Challenge?
Yes. As long as you are walking, biking, carpooling, using public transportation, or telecommuting you can log your miles towards the State-wide Challenge.

Are there incentives for participants?
Yes. Anyone who logs miles at www.commutegreennh.org will receive a coupon sheet good for discounts at businesses across NH. In addition, anyone who has logged miles throughout the year will be eligible to win grand prizes at the end of the year’s State-Wide Challenge.

What modes of transportation are counted towards the State-Wide Challenge?
Walking, biking, carpooling, public transportation, and telecommuting all count towards miles reduced in the State-wide Challenge.

When should I start?
Now! The Commute Green NH website goes live on May 7 and you can start logging miles on May 14. May 14-18 is Bike-Walk to Work Week, which is a great time to try swapping your car with a greener alternative.
